Catching a lift
On the "Snow Ski Adventure" tour, students have the opportunity to travel to Perisher Blue Snowfields and learn how to snow ski or snow board on our great southern slopes! Students and Teachers can have a mountain of fun as well as learn about our great nation as the tour can be designed to include a visit to our National Capital or Sydney with various sightseeing options available.

The "Snow Ski Adventure" is primarily designed for upper primary and secondary students with a number of standard itinerary options to choose from. With the ability to customize tours EducaTours of Australia can assist you to create a unique educational itinerary for any student group. The average tour length for the serious skiers is 8 days however, this will vary depending on the length of time required in the snowfields and the tour options chosen.

Once you have decided on an itinerary you can sit back, relax and let EducaTours of Australia complete all of the tour arrangements for you. As part of EducaTours of Australia's service a Tour Co-Ordinator will take care of all the hassles for you by placing bookings and making all of the tour arrangements both before and during the tour. An On Tour Co-Ordinator will continue this service by remaining with the group throughout the tour to finalize arrangements and provide commentary during the tour. Therefore, the only thing left for you to do is pack your bags!

All meals, accommodation, travel, activities and admissions are included as part of the tour cost as well as equipment hire, if applicable. Most special requirements can be catered for, if advised prior to the tour. Accommodation is generally in multi-share rooms and all accommodation is of a high standard with private facilities and linen provided. Coach travel is by modern, 5-star air conditioned coaches with seatbelts, ranging in size from 32 to 63 seats per vehicle. The option of flying to and from Canberra is also available. EducaTours of Australia also provides complimentary a Group Photograph, Warm Beanie and Sports Water Bottle to each passenger as a momento of their tour.

Passengers are expected to take care of their own personal requirements for the tour and EducaTours of Australia can provide a list of suggested requirements. Although all care is taken by EducaTours of Australia staff before and during tours, they do recommend that passengers also purchase travel insurance at the time of booking for some additional protection and peace of mind.

Bookings can be made by contacting EducaTours of Australia directly. All bookings must be confirmed in writing by completing a Booking Form and a non-refundable deposit of $1100 per coach/group is required within 14 days of confirming a booking. Final payment is due 14 days prior to departure date and is non-refundable. Tour dates are subject to availability and to ensure EducaTours of Australia maintains the high standard of tour for which they are known, they limit the number of tours conducted each week and preferred dates of travel are allocated on a 'first-in' basis.

Under the Parliament and Civic Education Rebate (PACER) programme, a rebate is available for school students from years 4 - 12 who travel over 150klms on a school excursion to the National Capital to visit various institutions associated with Civics and Citizenship Education. An Application Form and PACER Guidelines are available from the National Capital Educational Tourism Project website edtourism.nationalcapital.gov.au or by contacting the NCETP office (02) 6162 4460.
